History 101 – No, you don’t have to go back to school – Just join fellow Oregon Track Club members at our Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 11, to enjoy a panel presentation “OTC – In the Beginning”. Panel members are Janet and Tom Heinonen, Bob Newland, and John Gillespie, with Tom Jordan as Moderator.
The meeting will be held in The Club at Autzen Stadium and is open to all current (2014) members. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for a casual buffet provided by OTC with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. The dinner portion of the evening is limited to the first 350 adult members who RSVP prior to noon on February 6th. Members may RSVP via an electronic evite or by phone to the OTC office at 541-343-7247. Seating will be provided for members who wish to only attend the program portion of the evening.
The business portion of the evening will include election of the Board of Directors and a presentation of the 2014 Budget for approval by the membership. Updates on the UO and OTC Elite programs, as well as the Prefontaine Classic will be presented. Vin Lananna and Michael Reilly will highlight future TrackTown USA events: 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships and the US Olympic Trials. Adding to the fun and informative evening, music during the social hour will be provided by the Michael Radliff Trio.
